Der Langrisser is finished
Posted on June 12th, 2007 8 commentsThe translation was released a few days ago; I was just too busy and tired to update this page.
As per the actual patch, it will not be hosted on this server. You can get the latest from the Der Langrisser Translation project’s download page. I am incredibly pleased with how my instruction manual turned out — it is one of my best QuarkXpress projects to date.
The 1.01 patch was released today, and it fixes a major glitch in the initial release. Hope you all can enjoy it.
My local Der Langrisser page was updated with the same news, and also includes most of the press kit screenshots in a LightBox for your viewing convenience.

I’m surprised you can even read it chuck.

How ironic that you would comment on the quality of a translation, given your lack of ability to comprehend the target language yourself.
As far as bugs go, we are aware of no bugs as a result of the translation. But if you’re actually faulting us for the numerous bugs in the Japanese game itself (many of which we have fixed anyway), then I really don’t know what to say to you.
How about you make your own patch, since ours is so awful?

Let it go. He’s just a troll.
Chuck is the same as the guy who yelled at me on five different AOL IM accounts for releasing tools to dump the Langrisser I&II script but never actually starting a project to translate the game. He will always dodge questions about why he doesn’t do the work himself, and will just complain about how the work you do can never meet his “standards.”

Hi Cinnamonpirate,
I just wanted to say thanks for translated Der Langrisser after such a long time…I live in Fremont, CA in the states, and my sister and I have been talking about the full translation for about 3 years now…hehe. I read your hobby section where you said there are unappreciative fans of your translation….so I decided to just say a warm thanks for all the hard work you put into this translation over the years. I’m going to dl the game and the translation and play it right away. I’m 21 now and I’m still playing SNES games…I guess there’s a bit of nostalgia tied with it. Well anyway, I hope you do well in whatever you do. Take care!

Hi Cinnamonpirate,
Firstly, a big thanks to you for completing such big task in translating Der Langrisser to English.
However, I seems to have missed the boat as the link no longer worked.
Is there any other ways to get the patch? Thanks and cheers

I second kb77’s message.
I downloaded a translation for der langrisser a while back, but it turns out it was for the genesis version.
And the link on your page isn’t working anymore
Do you know where the file can be found now?
Thanks a lot.

Completely read the page. It tells you where to get the patcher. If you still can’t do it, it may be time to become one of the heroes of the Internet.
