A short DoaE3 update

Before I left, I mentioned Destiny of an Emperor 3. Special thanks to TechMaster and Ti Dragon who filled in the missing table and corrected one of my errors. I now have the complete tables for the game and made a Simplified Chinese edition of them using NJStar so I can actually read my script dump (even if the game is in Traditional, gah).

I located some more sections of script I hadn’t dumped yet moving the file size from 20kb to 90kb. I’m still playing to see if there’s anything left of the dialogue. Items and enemy names seem to be stored… oddly. I’ll probably get stuck spending a lot of time finding a way to edit those.

I just wanted to update to say I am making progress. That’s about it.

9:00AM - Fixed an error that caused some text to corrupt due to missing a block definition.

3:45PM - Dumped menu graphics, window borders, character sprites and title screen graohics. This game will not lend itself to the kind of hack-job NBP did. The map is heavily optimized and uses nothing but tile flips for the “III.” Also, there’s no continuous space between the characters. If anyone know how a Genesis tile map would be stored feel free to inform me…
