JianTiZi Patch for DoaE3
Well, it may not be the English people were hoping for (trust me, not even CLOSE to being done!) but I’m sure someone out there will appreciate it–a JianTiZi, also known as Simplified Chinese, patch for Destiny of an Emperor III. It will convert the status menus and all dialogue to Simplified Chinese.
The only things not converted are the battle menu and enemy names, they used a different font system. Other than that it’s good to go. Hope this helps the people out there who, like me, started learning Chinese after 1949 and outside Taiwan or Hong Kong.
Given this only took a few hours to do, I might do a similar patch for Fengshen Ying Jie Zhuan. I can actually knock one of these out for any game using the same font core, so if someone wants to fill in the blanks in the table, I could do Final Fantasy Magic Knight too. In case you never heard of it, it’s an extremely cool Chinese-made Final Fantasy that’s better than some of Square’s s–ttier new FF games.
