Annoyed with NJStar?
NJStar seems to be the least cracked application on the planet. The last version cracked was 3.54 … which was around 1997 or so. We’re at 5.0 now.
One nice thing about NJStar is even though it expires after 30 days, you can use it forever. That doesn’t stop it from always loading that big bitchy document every time it starts though. For one reason or another, I never realized how easy that is to fix.
The file it loads is NJSTAR.NJS. All you have to do it make a new, blank document in NJStar, and save it as an NJX file. Rename this to NJSTAR.NJS and put it in the program directory, and now every time NJStar loads it will start with a blank document.
Since this is the program’s only way of bitching at you, it’s pretty much solved.
I tried hacking the EXE to make it use a blank document called Untitled, but the program checks itself to see if it’s been hacked. If it has been, it unloads 10 seconds after it starts. Oh well, if anyone thinks of a way to crack that, you could just delete all the unregistered lines from the dialog windows and really clean house.
