Title goes here
Big update to the Langrisser I PC page including the release of a new version of langpctools, the release of the English scripts (for everyone interested in foreign translations), a patch to fix a few text glitches and Böser’s name in the dialogue. For those interested in foreign translations, you can get in touch with me if you want the QuarkXpress project to produce an instruction manual in your language or for help with the EXE text.
In other news, I’ve been working on The Crest of Gaia again. I’ve replaced the menu borders and the font with the ones from Warsong (it seemed fitting as a prequel) and finally have a kanji script. It turns out History of Elthlead on Sharp X68000 is a combination of Elthlead and The Crest of Gaia. A full S-JIS kanji script was inside this entire time and I never knew it! I may look into working on Guyframe whenever this game is done, but no promises.
In other news, Talbain is working on finding people to translate the Magna Carta scripts. If you know Korean, talk to him in the General Forum.
A Japanese fan page was located with some fan translations of scenes into Japanese. However, these seem to be an unreliable translation at best (even things as simple as items and attacks were wrong) and I would prefer the translation not have to rely on such questionable work. Talbain says 21 of the 418 files are done (5% of the scripts, but less than 1% of the actual total script). Even if you speak Korean and don’t read Korean, go offer to help. There’s only 24 letters in the Korean alphabet so you can learn it in a few hours.
In other news, it appears The Home of the Underdogs is no longer carrying my Akuji the Demon patch now that an official translation is released. This means I have no clue where the hell you can get my patch anymore because I don’t even have my patch anymore.
If you happen to have my patch send it to me and maybe I’ll put it up here. A copy of the game patched with my patch would work too since I can yank the files back out. Oh, and for a good laugh, Spinner 8 says my patch is better. Laff. Reminds me of Final Fantasy V.
