Heroine Anthem II cancelled, tools now PD
I have completely canceled my planned Heroine Anthem II translation. I will not be resuming it — ever. I simply cannot run the game. My computer is incompatible with the StarForce 3 rootkit that is required to run the game. Even if there were a way to run it, I no longer have Windows.
The tools have been collected and released into the public domain. You are free to distribute this and do anything you want with all the included files. The only exception is the bitmap dump of the Sun Solaris console font — I have no idea what license this font is released under.
Download the public domain toolkit.
You will need to supply the contentments of the /script/ folder from a Heroine Anthem II install to get these tools working. Instructions are included to get the tools working on both Windows and Linux. The script files in the /txt/ folder are stored in Traditional Chinese Big5 encoding.
The graphic unpacker is not included in this archive. It is far too flaky, and still does not have an adequate AMP file rebuilder. The readme includes links to all my format documentation and proof of concept code. It should be trivial to fill in the last pieces on your own.
If you cannot get write it on your own and you actually manage to translate 90 percent of the Heroine Anthem II script, please contact me. I will do it for you.
