Pirate repository open
CinnamonPirate.com now has its own Ubuntu repository at http://repository.cinnamonpirate.com/. Packages are currently being built and released for Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy.
The repository is notable for hosting the only Debian packages of several obscure Japanese PC emulators which took considerable work to compile. It also hosts a heavily optimized version of the latest mednafen, bsnes, virtualjaguar, yabause, dosbox and a variety of ROM hacking tools compiled for — and in a few cases ported to — Linux.
For PHP fans, this repository contains builds of the GMP plugin, a GD plugin hacked to support XPM and XBM graphics and PHP-GTK2.
Directions for adding the repository are available on the page. You will need root access to add the repository and key to your system’s apt listing.
Note: This news is from more than two weeks ago, but that means the repository has been up for a while and is fairly stable.
