Ok, not really, but apparently someone has taken an interest in linking me! Just read…

The one about the Zaji performance

So we went to an acrobatics performance tonight.

All I can really say is, “Wow,” those kids are impressive. It certainly makes the Ringling Bros. circus look like a joke. I’ve never seen anything like it.

I do find it sad the kids get pulled into this so young, totally miss out on any education, and get tossed away or made trainers once they hit 18, the cut-off point for performance.

Credit Problems

My wonderful Visa company sent me my new card after I left for China, so all my US funding was severed two days ago when my card expired. I learned this when I went to the Bank of China and got rejected for withdrawal four times in a row.

I think this might be a sign.

Aside from this new development, I do have some work to get done in the USA–not to mention arranging an internship so I can graduate this fall. I think, in the long run, going back to the USA for now is what I’m going to have to do to make a smart choice.

As much as I don’t want to, there are things I need to tie up at home before I can really leave the USA for such an extended period of time. Right now, I’m looking at three years in China after I graduate. Hopefully it works out.

I just hope I can keep in touch with the people I’ve met here. Though I’m not sure how efficient E-mail will be.
