Mambo progress goes *p0ink*

So here’s what I’ve done so far. All of these have been heavily edited or in some cases, ditched and rewritten. Everything with an asterisk is a new file I’ve written. I’m using functions-formatting.php from WordPress to handle all needed text transformations. I’m not sure if it’s gotten laggy from it or if the server is just crawling right now (quite possible).

MDX Love

I did absolutely nothing of any value the last day because I spent all my time organizing and compressing around 10,000 MDX files I recovered from an old X68000 enthusiast about a year ago. They’ve been sitting in the corner of my hard disk so I figured it was time to clean it off.

This is in addition to my existing collection.

You don’t even want to know how many MDX songs I have now …

T2D Progress Update

As many of you may know, it’s still down, though I am working on it. Here was what was accomplished tonight:

While I’m in the mood….

I knocked out another JianTiZi patch for Fengshen Ying Jie Zhuan. I already had the table so all it took was two hours and a little patience.

I’m really kind of surprised nobody ever did this before… because it’s really easy. If anyone has a table laying around for Final Fantasy Magic Knight, let me know–mine’s incomplete, otherwise I’d do a patch for that one too.

Anyway, as before, I hope this helps some other people to play the game.

JianTiZi Patch for DoaE3

Well, it may not be the English people were hoping for (trust me, not even CLOSE to being done!) but I’m sure someone out there will appreciate it–a JianTiZi, also known as Simplified Chinese, patch for Destiny of an Emperor III. It will convert the status menus and all dialogue to Simplified Chinese.

A short DoaE3 update

Before I left, I mentioned Destiny of an Emperor 3. Special thanks to TechMaster and Ti Dragon who filled in the missing table and corrected one of my errors. I now have the complete tables for the game and made a Simplified Chinese edition of them using NJStar so I can actually read my script dump (even if the game is in Traditional, gah).

I located some more sections of script I hadn’t dumped yet moving the file size from 20kb to 90kb. I’m still playing to see if there’s anything left of the dialogue. Items and enemy names seem to be stored… oddly. I’ll probably get stuck spending a lot of time finding a way to edit those.
