The way of indexing without indexing

A few months ago, Hiroshi asked me for a favor. He needed a way to make a listing of files in a folder on a server denying the ability to list a directory contents, and ignoring .htaccess attempts to override this.

My solution was a simple 6 line PHP script that spit out each file name into an unordered list.

Today I found it on my disc and decided it would be neat to make it look a bit more like Apache’s FancyIndexing. Then I decided, why not go even further?

Magna Carta is finished

Though I’m not working on it anymore, I know some people still tend to end up at this webpage when searching for information about Magna Carta.

In a posting by Talbain over at the dead T2D board earlier today, he said the last script files are in and it’s now 100 percent complete.

He is planning to do some public beta releases, so hopefully he gets a webpage at some point to release them at.

This is, hopefully, the last time I will ever be mentioning Magna Carta on this Web site unless I some day review it.

One more week …

One more … just one more …

For those who didn’t know, this is the last semester of my second, and supposedly final, senior semester at Oakland University. If I, hopefully, pass all my classes, I should finally be done with Oakland University, Michigan and the United States as a whole.

What does this mean to you, the reader? It means for once, I will actually have the time needed to finish editing Der Langrisser, with or without Eric Kei to help out. Probably without, since his power supply exploded a week ago destroying all the files he had worked on. I don’t anticipate him being regularly available for a while.

Another two scenarios done

Yeah, sorry it’s been going so slow. It’s just hard to find time to work on this between work and classes. It’s slowly picking up though. There’s only another two weeks of class before the semester ends, so I should soon have a lot of time for editing. Maybe with some hocus pocus and time unemployed, editing could even be done by the end of next month. Here’s hoping.

I just noticed how disturbingly long it’s been since the last time anything was filed in the Der Langrisser ticker. Please don’t for a second think that’s the last time anything was done. I’ve just been really bad about keeping it updated.
