29 June 2006 | NINJA | No Responses
For those who have been following on the ROMHacking dot net forums, you may know I’ve been actively developing the NINJA 2.0 format for the last month. There have been several beta tests on the forums, and I think it’s finally ready for a front-page notice.

Flight of Dragons

A present I found on YouTube today: the 1982 classic Flight of Dragons.
If you are as old as me, or you’re curious what kind of TV we watched when I was a little kid, I recommend watching it. It was a great fantasy cartoon.

When Quotes Go Wrong

One of the best parts of living in China are 80-cent DVDs.
One of the best parts of DVDs in China are the quotes on 80-cent DVDs.
Aside from the totally incomprehensible Engrish that is scattered about “new releases” (theater bootlegs), there is also the joy of quotes from famous reviewers on the covers.
Hey, I think it’s a great idea. Having some kind of quote from a big name might change someone’s mind about trying a movie, right? If it couldn’t, movie reviews wouldn’t exist. The problem is this: DVD pirates cannot read, speak or spell English.
And I’m not talking about the language, I’m talking about the word.
Childhood

When I was in fourth grade, I remember my parents had to sign a permission script for sex education class. This was a time when they had the one male teacher in the school take all the boys in one room, then send all the girls to another room, and they showed us a video that would supposedly answer all the questions none of us even had.
I would like to describe that video.
